We want to send our sincerest thank you to our dedicated staff who have worked so hard to make this Ski and Snowboard Season at Cape Smokey happen. Our incredible employees work hard all season long to bring the place we love to life and make the Cape Smokey experience as unique as each staff member. From helping our guests find accommodations, sharing information about Cape Breton culture to making our Sydney and Halifax crowds feel at home when they are here, our staff go above and beyond to make people feel welcome. With the same sincerity, we thank the local community and beyond that have supported us throughout the winter season.
We also want to thank all of our Cape Smokey volunteers.

Many Cape Smokey services are supported by local community members who volunteer their time to help us deliver programs. You have no doubt met them when they gave you ski lessons, helped you the first time on a poma lift or went down the Bunny Hill with you! You also might have met them at our Smokey Sessions concerts providing security, first aid and cleaning up. Helping to ensure you had a good time.
To our volunteers – we are so thankful that in this busy world, you choose to share your time with us and help us build experiences and memories for people who visit the hill. For those that have lots of heart and even a little bit of time, we are always looking for volunteers to join us here at Smokey!
